The distinctive features of spin waves, that make them attractive for applications at microwaves, are high exitation efficiency, low propagation losses, various dispersion characteristics as well as an appearance of nonlinear behavior for relatively low microwave power levels, typically about of several milliwatts. One of the nonlinear effects is the dependence of the phase shift of spin wave from its power. Device which operates on this effect is the nonlinear phase shifter. Such a phase shifter has a potential application in microelectronics for creation of novel microwave devices. For example, the nonlinear spin-wave phase shifters have been used for creation of the active ring filter [1] and nonlinear interferometer [2]-[4]. |
