Abstract – The periodic composite medium consisting of two lattices of different dielectric spherical particles has been investigated analytically and numerically. It is shown that effective double negative media (DNG) can be realized in the frequency region where resonance of TM mode in the particles of one kind and TE mode in the particles another kind exist simultaneously. Ferroelectric single crystals or ceramic samples with dielectric constant about 1000 can be used as a suitable material for manufacturing the spherical particles. |
